The Mitten

Each year, The Mitten becomes a preschool favorite! The folktale made popular by Jan Brett tells the story of a boy who loses a white mitten in the snow. Forest animals find it one by one, and find a cozy nook inside of it to get warm. When the tiniest mouse comes along and finds a place on the bear's nose, it tickles and causes him to sneeze. When we act out the story, I don't know which is more fun, the getting into the mitten altogether, or the sneezing to get out!
